New Head of Ericsson Thailand Announced

· With over 20 years of industry experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) , Nadine Allen takes on the role of Head of Ericsson Thailand from 1 August, 2016

· Thailand is among the fastest developing markets globally and is a key market for Ericsson in Southeast Asia and Oceania

· Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has appointed Nadine Allen to the role of Head of Thailand, effective 1 August, 2016.

Nadine Allen has held a variety of roles in the global ICT market for the past 20 years including executive positions with Ericsson since 2006. Prior to this role she was Vice President of Ericsson’s Industry & Society Customer Unit, in Western Central Europe, where she was responsible for running Ericsson’s business with vertical industries in Automotive, Energy, Intelligent Transport Systems, Public Safety and Shipping Maritime, in sixteen countries. In her 10 years with Ericsson, she has held other senior executive roles including leading a major part of Ericsson’s business with the Mobile Network Operators in the UK, where she worked with customers to bring leading solutions and services to the UK market.

Sam Saba, Head of Region South East Asia and Oceania, says: “Thailand is amongst the fastest developing markets globally, reaching more than 100 percent subscription penetration for mobile broadband in 2016, according to the Ericsson Mobility Report, June 2016.”
Nadine’s broad experience in the global ICT market, will see us continue our ICT journey in Thailand, as we work to create and capture growth opportunities for our existing customers and new customer segments in a rapidly transforming ICT market like Thailand.”

Speaking of her appointment, Nadine said she was looking forward to the opportunity to lead the Thailand organization, which has pioneered innovations and Thailand firsts with Ericsson customers over the past 110 years.

Ericsson's partnership with the telecommunications and ICT industry in Thailand started 110 years ago, supplying the first telephone exchange in 1906. Since then, it has powered virtually every facet of telecommunications and ICT markets in Thailand.

According to the latest Ericsson Mobility Report, smartphone subscriptions in Thailand are expected to continue to increase and are forecast to surpass those for basic phones this year. LTE subscription in Thailand is also expected to be more than 10 percent of total mobile subscriptions in 2016 and is expected to increase to around 50 percent by 2021.



Nadine Allen succeeds Camilla Vautier, who assumes a new role within the company.
